Both unique and versatile, the Canon 8-15mm f4 L Fisheye lens allows you to explore the variety and specialised character that a Fisheye lens awards your photographic kit. At its widest focal length, this lens provides immersive circular 180-degree angle fisheyes, while the zoom allows you to minimise this effect at your discretion. Made for Full-Frame cameras, this lens is usable on APS-C Format cameras, but its revised focal range of 12.8-24mm does result in a loss of some of this ultra-wide performance.
Including two ultra-low dispersion elements in the lens’ construction, results in a fair amount of protection from aberrations and colour fringing. Canon’s Sub Wavelength coating has been applied to minimise flare and ghosting. In contrast, the fluorine coating has been applied to the protruding front element, to protect it from damage from various sources. As is the case with any lens from Canon’s premium L-series range, the 8-15mm f4 L fisheye lens is a tough competitor, being both dust and moisture-resistant to allow shooting in varied climates.
