The image quality comes from a full-frame 16.2MP sensor and EXPEED 3 image processor. The physical layout of the camera is a nod to the past, with dedicated exposure dials situated on the sturdy, magnesium alloy body. All of the extras that you need for fully expressive still image shooting are present, such as a cable release socket, hot shoe, flash sync terminal, and a superb pentaprism viewfinder for composing your images. For the modern touch that we can't do without, the DF does include a large, bright 3.2-inch LCD screen, which can be used for Live View composing.

The magnesium alloy body does like like a bit of a throwback, with its retro-inspired shape, and manual-setting-ready control layout. You have dedicated dials for exposure controls, which means less time wasted navigating confusing menus, which is a desired feature of enthusiasts and professionals. In terms of image quality, the DF does not disappoint, with a full-frame 16.2MP CMOS sensor and EXPEED 3 image processor on the inside. This pair of high-achievers provide exceptional image quality, with great dynamic range and sharpness, as well as colours that pop.
Suited to handle all manner of still photography, the DF is capable of 5.5 frames per second continuous shooting for your sports and action shooting.
